The Electric State Movie Review
The Russo Brothers have received much praise for a number of projects in the second and third phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, when working independently, their films on streaming services like Apple TV and Netflix have mediocre quality, to put it bluntly. Their latest film is an adaptation of the illustrated science-fiction dystopian novel, "The Electric State" by Swedish storyteller and artist, Simon Stålenhag - a philosophical, eerie short story with social commentary about the dangers of obsessive consumerism and our slavish dependence on technology.
Unfortunately, the Russo Brothers have decided to take a more light-hearted, family-friendly approach to the source material and translated it into a hollow, corporate disgrace. Listen to my grievances with the latest trash-fire that is "THE ELECTRIC STATE" adaptation.
